Donald Stanton's Obituary
Don Stanton, 84 a longtime resident of Tulsa passed away August 31, 2019. Don was born November 23, 1934 in Hays, Kansas to Walter and Edith Stanton.Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was married to the love of his life Mary Ann and raised their three children Sue Ann, Dennis and Penny. He was proud to servehis country prior to starting a family with Mary Ann. He worked for McElroy Manufacturing for many years as a machinist and retired from American Airlines. One of his favorite hobbies was riding motorcycles from a very early age as well as enjoying the outdoors with his family. As much as he loved working on his home and yard, he loved packing up the RV with Mary Ann and sharing their love of travel with their many friends they had made in the club. Hobbies included photography, gardening, building model airplanes, clock collecting, gun collecting as well as making his own ammunition. Don will be dearly missed by his family and everyone who knew him. Don is preceded in passing by his wife Mary Ann, parents, Walter and Edith Stanton, siblings Geraldine Swiader, Carol Oakley, Walter and Harold Stanton; great-granddaughter Michaela.He is survived by children Sue Ann Henson, Dennis Stanton (Sandy), Penny Dye (Tim); grandchildren, Jason Wiesinger (Michelle Jordan) Jennifer (Mario), Ben Stanton, Scott Stanton (Keri), Carla Hinojosa, Sarah Doney (Josh): great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Chris,Ryoko, Brady, Hailey, Ryan, Tanner, Lorlie and Grayson and numerous other family members and friends.
