Donald "Steve" Stevens' Obituary
Donald Lee "Steve" Stevens, 91 of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his home with family by his side. He was born July 5, 1928 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma to his parents, Alva Lee Stevens and Edith Z. Cheney Stevens. Steve proudly served as a Merchant Marine, then in the army for three years. On October 7, 1972 he married Beatrice Stevens in Tulsa, Oklahoma and they shared over 36 years together before her passing in 2008.
Steve worked as a lineman at Public Service Company for over 30 years. After retiring Steve enjoyed traveling throughout the country and occasionally overseas. The last few years he has enjoyed going to Life Senior Services Center where he met and made many good friends.
Steve is survived by three sons, Mark Stevens and his wife Sharon of Chelsea, Oklahoma, Gary Stevens and his wife Cindy of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Dennis Stevens and his wife Jill of Edmond, Oklahoma; step-daughter Jerry Rountree; her son Troy and niece; Heather, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Tiffany, Zachary, Nathan, Kelsey, Kasey, Kassie and Philip; twelve great-grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alva and Edith Stevens; his wife, Beatrice Stevens; step-son Fred Hanson and one great-grandson, Bennett David Stevens.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
