Donald V. Stewart
May 17, 1926 ~ July 3, 2024
Don was known as Smokey to family and friends. He was a WWII veteran who served on a naval destroyer in the South Pacific. He was a "Golden Glove Boxer" and boxed in the navy.
Don was also a motorcycle enthusiast for many years and served as President of Tulsa Oil Capital Motorcycle Club in the late 1960's and 70's.
He was a lineman for many years for Public Service Co of Oklahoma and retired as a dispatcher.
Don is survived by his wife, Wanda. They enjoyed 70 years of marriage. Together they enjoyed square dancing, and they were involved in several clubs.
He was a man of many talents and especially enjoyed woodworking. He was known for the wind chimes that he made and happily gave to everyone.
Don was also survived by his stepson, Jack Snider, and daughter-in-law, Tami. As well as grandchildren, Jason Snider and Jennifer Malloy, and four great-grandchildren, Anna Kate and Vivian Malloy and Waylon and Cal Snider
Smokey was loved and admired by all and will be greatly missed.
He will be laid to rest at Floral Haven Memorial Garden's Dogwood Mausoleum on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, financial contributions in memory of Don can be made to Folds of Honor.
