Donald "Don" Stephen Suvak, a beloved husband, father, and friend, departed this life on April 18th, 2024, in Kellyville, Oklahoma, surrounded by his cherished family. Born on June 22nd, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Stephen John Suvak, Jr. and Eleanore Marie (Kogut) Suvak, Don lived a life filled with passion, generosity, and love.
A devoted enthusiast of Harley Davidson motorcycles, Don found joy in embarking on road trips to Colorado alongside his cherished wife, Linda. His love for blues music, particularly Eric Clapton's soulful melodies, resonated deeply within him, as did his passion for strumming the guitar and nurturing his garden.
Renowned for his innate ability to build and assist with any task, Don's dedication knew no bounds. His daughters, Miranda and Samantha, were the recipients of his unwavering support and practicality, evident in the tool kits he provided for their homes, ensuring he could lend a helping hand whenever needed.
A captivating conversationalist, Don's boundless enthusiasm for his interests could captivate listeners for hours on end. Don had a gentle heart, earning him the endearing title of a "teddy bear" among those who knew him best.
In matters of the heart, Don's romantic spirit shone brightest, exemplified in his unwavering devotion to Linda and their cherished tradition of exchanging heartfelt cards, that he kept cherished for as long as he could. He made sure she always felt special.
Don is preceded in death by his daughter Melody Dawn Suvak, his parents Stephen John Suvak, Jr. and Eleanore Marie Suvak, his sister Stephanie J. List, his mother-in-law Carol Hicks, and his brother-in-law Chester B. List. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Suvak, his daughters Miranda and Samantha Suvak, his siblings Mary Patricia Suvak and Andrew J. Suvak and his wife Wendy, father-in-law Lee Hicks, brother-in-law Mike Duke and his wife Debbie, and his extended family and friends, who will forever cherish his memory.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, at Floral Haven Funeral Home from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, April 24th, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Don's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
