Donald Ray White's Obituary
Donald Ray White, 74, died Sunday morning, January 22, 2006, at his home in Tulsa, OK. He was born May 30, 1931, in Sand Springs, OK, the son of Carol (Gilmore) and John V. White. He served his country during the Korean War in the US Army and was a long time member of the 61st Field Artillery Battalion Association. He graduated from Sand Springs High School and then from Oklahoma University with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1960. He married Wanda Lee Turner on December 10, 1955, and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2001; also his twin sister Dot, and brothers; John and Nelson. He worked for Solar Turbines and was co-owner of TurboTech and later formed the Don White Co. Donnie loved watching OU football and golf on TV. He never met a stranger and was a kind and giving man to all. Service was held 10:00 Wednesday morning at Floral Haven.Survived By: 2 sons, Kenneth Ray and Ricky Gene, and 2 daughters in law, Debbie White and Donna White, grandson, Eric Wesley White; brother, Lloyd and wife, Jean, of OKC; sisters; Carolea Goswick of Osage, Margie Woodall and husband, Tony, of Sapulpa; sisters-in-law Mary White of Wewoka, OK and Mary McLanahan of Edmond, OK; brothers-in-law Bill Turner and Roy McWhirter; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
