Donna Carol Brundige Eaton's Obituary
Donna Carol Brundige Eaton, a beloved resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on December 10, 1948, in Oxnard, California, Donna was the daughter of Ralph William Brundige and Donna Rae Harviston Brundige.
Donna's life was marked by passion, resilience, and dedication. For five decades, she owned and operated the cherished Cherokee Barber Shop in Tulsa, where she left an indelible mark on her community. Known as a "Spit Fire" woman, Donna's fiery spirit and commitment to her craft endeared her to generations of loyal customers.
Beyond her barber shop, Donna found joy in simple pleasures. She loved sewing and tending to her vegetable garden, finding solace in the soil and the rhythm of nature. Animals held a special place in her heart, especially her feline companions. Their playful antics brought laughter and warmth to her home.
Donna's legacy extends beyond her immediate family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Patrick Eaton, who stood by her side for over three decades. Her children, Terry Shufeldt (Angela) and Amber Davis, carry forward her spirit of resilience and love. Donna's siblings, Velena Jensen (Eric) and Ralph Brundige, share cherished memories of their sister.
Her impact reaches even further, touching the lives of five grandchildren: Sara, Gabriel, Krista, Seth, and Kenzie. Donna's great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Cytlal, will grow up hearing stories of her strength and kindness.
In her final journey, Donna joins her parents, one son, Dion Shufeldt, and one daughter, Dawn Weldon, who preceded her in death. She reunites with siblings Jessie, Sherry, and Tinda, their memories woven into the fabric of her life.
Donna Carol Brundige Eaton's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. As we mourn her passing, let us celebrate the vibrant spirit that touched so many lives.
A Memorial Celebration will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, August 1, 2024 in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Lacey officiating.
