Donna Lea Schaum's Obituary
Donna Lea Schaum was born on January 26, 1938. She was raised by Lucille and Albert Woodell, her grandparents, whom she loved dearly. Her early years were spent on the farm in the area of 71st and Memorial. She attended and graduated from Union Public School and worked in the family store after school. Donna loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening, decorating, floral design and travel. In March of 1955 she married the love of her life, Frank Schaum. They lovingly raised two children; Mike and Kathy. Frank passed away on April 22, 2010 after enjoying their life together for 55 years. Donna was reunited with Frank at the Gates of Heaven on April 16, 2014, after a lengthy and hard fought battle with multiple health issues. The family takes comfort in knowing that she will have an eternity with no pain or suffering. Donna touched many lives and enjoyed time with her many friends. Donna loved her family beyond measure and was blessed to have been able to spoil her grandkids and great-grandchildren with an untold amount of love and the gift of infinite memories. Donna was a sales associate at Beeline furniture and considered her co-workers an extension of her family. She truly loved her work and especially loved the decorating and interior design work she did with her customers. Donna lived life with a passion and without regret. Donna would not want sadness, but rather a celebration of her life and the lasting memories she was a part of.Donna is survived by Mike and Angela Schaum; Don and Kathryn Morrison, Bill and Jean Lenard, John and Shirley Thomas. Grandchildren; Adam and Jennifer Schaum, Don and Desirae Morrison III, Elliott and Danielle Schaum, Jennifer and William Chappell, Jessica and Shaun Trout and Kayla Varcoe. 10 great grandchildren; Blake, Bailee and Ella Schaum; Pressly, Paedyn and Pryce Morrison, Brodey, Kinley, Donovan and Harper Chappell; and many nieces and nephews.
