Doris Frankie Bray's Obituary
Doris Frankie Bray, age 86, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, entered the gates of heaven on March 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Born on September 6, 1937 in Welch, Oklahoma, to Oscar Franklin McKinzie and Eva (Rowlan) McKinzie, she embodied warmth and honesty throughout her life. Frankie’s greatest joy was found in her family, especially her children and grandchildren, who meant the world to her. A cherished memory was when her great grandson Edward surprised her one Christmas, filling her heart with joy beyond measure. Known for her generous spirit and big heart, she always found fulfillment in helping others. In her youth, Frankie showcased her artistic talents and was even offered a full scholarship for her remarkable abilities. Later, she found love in Raymond “Ray” Bray, with whom she built a beautiful legacy. Her dedication to her church family and Sunday school brought her immense happiness, and she was grateful to have experienced it until her final days.
Frankie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ray Bray, son Terry Wayne Crouch, parents Oscar and Eva McKinzie, sisters Norma Howard and Novita Harrison, niece Kaye Chandler, along with her husband Jack and their daughter Tiffany Eichor, and nephews Michael Newnam and David Harrison.
She is survived by her daughter Dianne Whalen and husband Ernie, son James Bray and wife Nickie, grandchildren Matthew Wallace and wife Dee, and Jeremy Crouch, great-grandchildren Edward Wallace, Aaron Winner, Jacob Garner, and Wyatt Garner, nephews Stephen Newnam, Larry Harrison, and Thomas Harrison, nieces Vicki Harrison and Paula Harrison Panther, and numerous other family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence.
A memorial service to celebrate Frankie's life will be held on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024, at 1:30 PM at Memorial Baptist Church, located at 2800 S Yale Ave., Tulsa, OK 74115. Following the service, a graveside service will take place at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, 6500 S 129th E Ave., Broken Arrow, OK 74012. Though she may have left this world, her legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
