Doris Mae Davie's Obituary
DAVIE Doris Moore, 81, went to live with her Savior on March 14, 2008. She was a life long Tulsa resident, born September 24, 1926 to Wilson and Bess Moore. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1944 and was married in 1945 to Ralph C. Davie who preceded her in death. While raising 3 children, she was a Scout Leader for Girl Scouts, a Den Mother for Cub Scouts, and a Sunday school teacher at East Tulsa Christian Church. She spent her entire professional career in the oil industry, mainly in drafting. She was active for 30 years in Desk and Derrick Club of Tulsa, serving as President in 1985. In later years, in addition to traveling all over the world, she discovered her love of quilting. Doris was active in several quilting organizations; most notably the Green Country Quilters Guild. Doris won many prizes for her quilts, was featured in numerous news articles and left a legacy of beautiful quilting.Survived By: She is survived by her son R. Clark Davie, Jr. and his wife Jeannette Davie of Anderson CA, son Mark W. Davie and his wife Janice Davie of Tulsa, daughter Vicki (Davie) Voss and her husband Michael Voss of Broken Arrow, grandson Shane Davie and his wife Marsha Davie of Bixby, and great-granddaughter Sierra Davie of Bixby.
