Doris Geer's Obituary
Doris Mae Geer, 89, of Tulsa, passed away peacefully from natural causes on July 11, 2020. She was born December 20, 1930, in Joplin, Missouri, to Thomas and Opal (Dehaven) Owen. She was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and looked forward to doing her crossword puzzles, reading a good book, and spending time with her family. Doris was a dedicated mother and grandmother, first and foremost. She treasured her children and grandchildren and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana. She had a generous character and always made people around her laugh. This selfless, loving, caring, and wonderful woman has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be deeply missed. Doris will be forever remembered for her beautiful smile, gentle eyes, caring heart, loving embrace, and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort that she is in heaven watching over us.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jack Geer; brother Tommy Owen.
Doris is survived by her daughter Tracie and her husband John of Broken Arrow; son Steve Geer of Tulsa; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 13 from 3 pm - 6 pm at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Services will take place on Tuesday, July 14 at 10 am at the Floral Haven Chapel.
