Doris Dean Nooner's Obituary
Doris Dean Nooner, a beloved resident of Jenks, Oklahoma, passed away on May 10th, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on September 22nd, 1931, in Jenks to her parents William and Frances Covey, she held an unwavering affection for her hometown throughout her life. Doris had a special fondness for red birds and was deeply devoted to her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With her roots deeply embedded in a large family of 15 siblings, she cherished the bustling atmosphere of kinship. She made sure to always nurture the ones she loved, which has left them with such cherished memories. Doris will be remembered for her warm heart and her unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love and family values will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Doris is survived by her sons Michael McKenzie, Jackie McKenzie and his wife Centhya, and Kenneth McKenzie; grandchildren Courtney Dawn Cothren and husband Benny Randall, Schalene Lynne Guthrie and her husband Chad Michael, Autumn Rackley, and Kelly Matelijan and Ryan Hildebrand; great-grandchildren Isabella Jade Cothren, Brenlynn Jane Cothren, Paisley Shae Guthrie, Braden Michael Guthrie, and Eva Rackley; as well as siblings Irene Smithey and Darlene Lynn. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Marcus Covey and Frances Elma (Williamson) Covey; husband Alfred Ray Nooner; and a host of siblings.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 4PM – 7PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 2PM at Floral Havens Rose Chapel with Pastor Roann Black officiating. Private burial will take place at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
