Dorma Colleen Pinkston, a beloved resident of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 88. Born on June 21, 1935, in her cherished hometown of Sand Springs, Dorma was the daughter of Martin and Nellie Dyer.
Dorma was a woman who embodied love, care, honesty, and support in every aspect of her life. Her intelligence and dependability were admired by all who knew her, and her hardworking nature served as an inspiration to many. Dorma had a strong will and was known for her stubbornness, which only added to her resilience and determination. She was a constant presence in the lives of her family, always offering unwavering support and being there whenever they needed her.
Among Dorma's many hobbies, she found joy in needlework, working puzzles, solving crosswords and word searches, and immersing herself in the world of books. Her creativity and skill as a seamstress were unmatched, and she delighted in using her talents to make stuffed animals, clothes, and costumes for her beloved grandchildren. Her sugar cookies were legendary, delighting both young and old alike.
Dorma had a passion for collecting owls, dolls, and anything featuring the iconic Coke polar bear. Her collections were a reflection of her unique personality and brought her much joy throughout her life.
Dorma Colleen Pinkston will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be cherished as a testament to her love, care, and dedication to those she held dear. May she rest in peace, knowing the indelible impact she made on the lives of others.
Dorma was preceded in passing by her parents, Martin and Nellie Dyer; her brother, Don Dyer, and his wife Katherine; and her brother, George Dyer. She is survived by her brother, Eldon Dyer, and his wife, Janice; brother, Audean Dyer, and his wife, Emily; her sister, Rhonda Buthod, and her husband, David; her daughter, Terri Frazier; her son, John Pinkston and his wife, Michelle; her son, Greg Pinkston; her grandchildren, Marcus Frazier and his wife, Kathy, Jeffrey Frazier and his wife, Ashley, Matthew Frazier, Alex Frazier, Amanda Fowler and her husband, Zach; 4 nieces and 1 nephew, and numerous other family members and friends.
Graveside Service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Floral Haven Memorial Garden of Good Shepherd
