Dorma J. Watkins' Obituary
Dorma Jean Watkins passed away on November 20, 2016. Her family is comforted knowing that she is finally home walking with our Lord and reunited with her husband, daughter, brothers, and other loved ones. She is survived by her son, E. Gene Watkins II, daughter Linda Van Dyke, brother John Little, and sister Linda Teague, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and many nephews and nieces. In 2000, after working as a secretary for well over twenty years, Dorma retired from the Tulsa District Corps. of Engineers. Dorma’s greatest joy was her family. Her closest friends were her siblings and her in-laws. When she was able, she never missed any of her grandchildren’s activities. It was not unusual for her to go to three baseball or football games in one day, even if they were in different places. She always made sure her family never went without anything, whether it was the newest clothes, plenty of food, or just simply her love. Dorma came from a large family of six children. She was the first born child of Verna and Wilburn Little. She grew up predominantly in Oklahoma City. She is proceeded in death by her parents and three of her siblings, James Little, Robert Little, and Bill Little. A memorial honoring Dorma’s life will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28th in the Rose Chapel at Floral Haven Funeral Home, Broken Arrow.
