Dorotha Lavonne Emmert's Obituary
Dorotha LaVonne Emmert born December 26th, 1926 in Velma, Oklahoma has passed away peacefully on October 21st in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dorotha was born and raised in Oklahoma and moved to California as a young girl with her family during the Great Depression.
Met and married a young Marine from Missouri named Clarence Emmert. Shortly after the end of World War II in 1948, Dorotha, Clarence and their first born daughter Judith Anne move into a small apartment in Claremore as Clarence was working at the new American Airlines Maintenance base north of Tulsa. Three more kids and two more moves, Clarence and Dorotha spent 60 years in what was then south Tulsa.
She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence, her son Darryl and her siblings Jane, Omer Jr, Paul, Barbara and Joe. She is survived by her children Judith Anne Fowler of Catoosa, Marsha Jane Hensley of Claremore and Timothy S. Emmert of Tulsa and her sibling Billie.
Dorotha and Clarence had 8 grandkids, 13 great grandkids and 10 great-great grandkids.
The family would like to thank the caregivers at the Villages at Southern Hills and Grace Hospice for their care and compassion of our mother.
