Dorothy Annetta CrumpBorn February 3, 1914, Columbus, OhioDied January 2, 2018, Tulsa, OklahomaDorothy went home to be with God and her loved ones at the age of 103 after a long and joyful life.She was preceded in death by her parents Ruby and Benjamin Scott, her husband Robert, her sister Peggy Jacoby, her loving daughters Montie Lou Mooney and Bobbie Lou Sears, her grandson Clinton Mooney and her beloved son, Jon Edward Crump. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Claudia Gay Crump, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.Dorothy came to Tulsa with her family as a young child in the 1920s where her father was selling oil field equipment. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1932 and married Robert A. Crump, Jr. later that year. She gave birth to their son Jon in 1938 and moved into a new home on East 66th Place in Tulsa where she raised her son and step-daughters and where she lived for 78 years. During that time she worked as a painter at the Douglas aircraft plant during the Second World War. She later worked at Brown Airport and the Tri-State/Silvey Insurance Agency where she retired after 30 years in 1980. She went on to volunteer at St. Francis Hospital for the next few decades. She was a loving mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend to many in the community where she generously gave of her time, compassion and pecan tassies. Her sharp wit and energy will forever live in our memories and continue to bring a smile to our faces for years to come. Funeral Service to be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., -Floral Haven Heritage Mausoleum Chapel.
