Dorothy Drake's Obituary
Dorothy Nell Drake (Colvin) went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 9, 2024. Dorothy was born and raised in Alabama. She married William D. Drake on July 17th, 1952. They had four children Gary Drake (Deceased) in 1954; Lisa Thompson (husband Michael), Kevin Drake (Deceased) in 2022 from pancreatic cancer; and the youngest Jana Schwier. Dorothy had two grandchildren, a grandson Tyler (Deceased) and her granddaughter Taylor Ellis and husband Tucker. Taylor was the joy of her heart. Dorothy also had three siblings, Jean Vines (Deceased), Floyd Colvin (Deceased), and her “little” sister Loretta Moseley who is very much alive. Dorothy had many nieces and nephews – two of which are here today from Alabama Debbie Carswell and Stacy Martin. Dorothy touched many lives with her kindness. She was a classy Southern lady to the very end of her life. Dorothy is now well and whole and without pain. Praise God!
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 12:30 PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel
