Dorothy Irene Engle's Obituary
Dorothy Engle, the daughter of Raymond Isaac Seever and Esther Beatrice Adeline Schroeter Seever, was born December 1, 1926 in McPherson, Kansas. She was one of 3 children; she had one brother and one sister. Dorothy was united in marriage to V.O. Engle on May 23, 1948 at McPherson, Kansas. They moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was blessed with the birth of a son David. Dorothy held different careers over her 88 years of life. These included owning her own restaurant and several convenience stores. She worked in the oil industry as well as being a Real Estate Broker. Dorothy worked up until she was 85 years old for Walgreen’s in Broken Arrow. Dorothy loved fishing, working in her yard planting flowers, and being around family. She enjoyed going to the casinos for entertainment in her later years. Dorothy loved feeding the birds, giving them everything that she did not eat as well as bird seed. On Wednesday September 30, 2015 Dorothy passed away and entered into eternal rest at the age of eighty-eight. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother. Surviving members of her family include her loving son David Engle and his wife Rhonda; grandson Cody Engle of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Gloria Ingman and her husband of Ohio. Her final resting place will be Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Funeral Service wednesday, October 7th, 2015-12:30pm-Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
