Dorothy Mae Harrison's Obituary
Dorothy Mae Harrison was born on June 13, 1936 in Fremont, Nebraska. Her parents were Frank and Ruth Roubal. Dorothy lived and attended schools in North Bend, Nebraska. She graduated from University of Nebraska. She then was the food manager in the cafeteria at Yale University. After that, she went on to pursue further education and a career in teaching in Phoenix, Arizona. Dorothy married Roger Harrison on July 20, 1969 and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. She taught for many years in Jenks Public Schools and retired from there. Dorothy was a strong believer in the Lord. She attended Harvard Avenue Christian Church. She was selfless in her caring for family and friends. Dorothy was a mother of two, but many called her mom. She loved gardening, cooking, and teaching. Dorothy is survived by her husband- Roger; daughter- Amy Corban and husband Trevor; son- Lyle Harrison and wife Ashley; mother-in-law- Grace Harrison; sisters- Aurzella Thiesen and Marie Petersen; brother- Loyd Roubal and wife Eva; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held on Friday, 12 pm ' 8pm with Family present from 6 pm ' 8pm. A reception will be held after the service at the Family Center.
