Dorothy Hyde, born on November 17, 1934, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2024, in her hometown of Broken Arrow. She was the beloved daughter of Monroe and Anna Mae Howard, and the devoted widow of Norman Hyde.
Dorothy was a woman of quiet strength, grace, and kindness. Her gentle and feminine presence touched the lives of all who knew her. A devout Christian, she lived her life guided by faith and love.
An avid reader, Dorothy found solace and joy within the pages of books, often immersing herself in tales of adventure and inspiration. She had a creative spirit, expressing herself through her stories and poems, leaving a legacy of her imagination for her loved ones to cherish.

In her leisure time, Dorothy found delight in watching classic Western films and television series, appreciating the simplicity and nostalgia of a bygone era.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Peggy Gillette, her devoted husband Norman Hyde, and her sisters Mickie Mitchell and Shirley Mullins.
Dorothy is survived by her son Donald Hyde and wife Zelinda, daughter Sheryl Hyde and husband Richard, sister Norma Hyde, sister Laura Johnson, brother Robert Howard, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Floral Haven Funeral Home
Interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens - Garden of Gethsemane
