Dorothy Faye Jones' Obituary
Dorothy Faye Jones, 80 of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, October 18, 2021 at her home with family by her side. She was born on June the 28th of 1941 in Union City, Tennessee to her parents Elson Herndon and Opal Vawter Herndon. On December the 8th of 1961 she took the hand of Jim Jones and they married. Over the next 44 years they built their family and created lifelong memories together. On December the 8th of 2005 Jim preceded her in death.
Dorothy is survived by two loving daughters, Judy Cooper and her husband Ken of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Janice Wells and her husband Rod of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Vanessa Opitz and her husband Mitch of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Jessie Gray of Coweta, Oklahoma, Joe Gray of Porter, Oklahoma; Chase Cooper of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Bailey Cooper and his wife Jordan of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, Colt, Buddy, Connor, Cora and Clara; one brother, Doyle Herndon and his wife Judy of Little Rock, Arkansas; and many friends and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her brother, Gene Herndon.
Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Floral Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Floral Haven's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
