Thank you so much Carolyn. Grandma told us all of your visit and how much she enjoyed you and Pam coming over with Judy! She was a magnificent lady and we will miss her greatly.
Walt, Sorry to hear about your Mom. Just remember she had lived a full life and was tired and ready to go home.Jim Pilkington
Ms. Dorothy was a client since about 2002. I have gone by and picked her up on Friday mornings for the last few years. I loved her so much. She was definitely one of my favorites. It won't be quite the same on Friday mornings ever again. I pray peace and comfort for all of her family members.
I am so glad I got to visit with my Aunt Dorothy last Spring at the Family Reunion. I pray for God's comfort for all of you.
Thank you Carolyn I was there the day you and Judy walked in. I seen the Love you felt for our Mother and I know she did also.
Every once in awhile God places special people in our lives. Sometimes it is for a lesson and sometimes just for the blessing. I had one of these special blessings when I met Mrs Wilkes. I have the urge to call to her Mama Wilkes as she had that warm inviting spirit about her. I walked in, we hugged and I felt the warmth and acceptance as if I had been a friend for a long time. As I sat listening to her talk, she was surrounded by a daughter worked nonstop seeing to her littlest need and comfort. Her sons teased with her and each other, and all discussed who was coming when, bringing what. . Her house reflected a woman who loved her home and family, clearly that was the most important part of her world. She told me of her love of gardening and flowers, and lets not forget, her favorite bird, the Cardinal. I was so touch at the dedication of the family, even a grandson was bringing the dinner. This says more about her than anything else. What kind of woman instills such a family bond ? To have strangers feel so welcome and become so attached so quickly? Mama Wilkes has the kindred spirit we would all do well to strive for. Thank you Lord for the blessing, it will not be wasted. I will reflect on our visit many times over the years and I try to make people feel as loved as she did me. This family has truly been blessed.
