Douglas Keith Holm's Obituary
Douglas Keith Holm, a resident of Tulsa, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the age of 77. He was born March 23, 1939 in Lindsborg, Kansas, often called “Little Sweden.” Parents, Keith and Mildred Holm owned a bakery in Marquette, Kansas. Doug and his family moved around until he started Jr. High School in Tulsa. He is a graduate of Will Rogers High in Tulsa and Oklahoma State University. Doug was in the Air Force ROTC Commander his senior year. He entered in the Air Force in January 1962 and went on to become a B-52 Aircraft Commander and Instructor Pilot during Vietnam Era. In 1967, Doug separated from the Air Force and entered the Insurance Business in Tulsa. He spent 13 years with AETNA and several years working for 2 other companies. In 1986, Doug begin working as an Independent Broker, specializing in working with seniors in health insurance and continued this for the remainder of his working years. In 1992, Doug met the love of his life, Gloria and they were married in 1995. Their life together was blessed with love and caring.Survivors include his wife, Gloria Holm; son, Greg Holm; grandsons, Matthew and Nicholas Holm; son, Grant Holm and wife, Teresa; step-son, Joel Cole and wife, Ann; grandchildren, Brittany, Jacob and Camie Cole; step-son, Timothy Cole; grandchildren, Ashley and Trevor Cole and numerous other grandchildren and relatives.Viewing will be held Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow.Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2016 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Larry DeLay officiating. Burial will follow the service at Memorial Park Cemetery.Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force.
