Douglas Lawrence Toby's Obituary
Douglas Lawrence Toby, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on July 15, 2024. Born on September 1, 1979, Douglas was a man of many talents and passions. He had a love for working on cars, a hobby that was especially rewarding when he could lend his skills to help others.
Douglas was an exceptional woodworker, a craft that he poured his heart into. Among his many creations, the heavy wooden porch swing he made for his wife, Sheri, holds a special place in her heart and will serve as a cherished reminder of his love and craftsmanship.
But above all, Douglas’s favorite pastime was spending time with his children and grandchildren. His love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his wife, Sheri Toby; his children, Hannah, Lawrence (and daughter-in-law Claudia), Nathaniel, John, Abigail, and Rebecca; and his grandchildren, Aiden, Myles, Mason, and Amelia. He also leaves behind his siblings, David, Donna, and Denise, along with a host of other family and friends who will forever remember him with love.
Douglas is now reunited with his son Jacob, his brother Daniel, his sister Deloris, and his parents, William and Ruby Toby. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy of love, kindness, and craftsmanship will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to have known him. Douglas Lawrence Toby will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched.
