Doward served 3 years in the US Air Force as a medic, was a retired truck driver and loved being outdoors doing yard work. Doward was preceded in death by his parents, brother, 3 sisters, wife of 59 years, Lorene Johnson, his 2 sons, John Johnson, William Johnson, and 1 grandson, James Johnson. Doward is survived by 1 sister, his 2 daughters, Laura Childers and Denice Willison, 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
A graveside funeral service with Military Honors will be held at Floral Haven Cemetery, May 1, 2023, at 11:00 am with a family gathering at 7413 S Fern Ave., Broken Arrow, OK 74011.
