His beloved wife Susan said: "I lost my soulmate of 53 years Thursday evening. He passed quietly without a sound. Doyle battled dementia for over 11 years. I never left his side as we always faced goodness and diversity together. I don't know how to be a widow. But, I will figure it out as I know Doyle now is in a wonderful place. Rest in peace my sweet sailor boy.
