Duane David Monroe, 42, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on April 27, 2026. His loss is felt deeply by all who knew him, yet his memory continues to shine through the love he shared and the lives he touched.
Born October 2, 1982, in Corney, New York, Duane was the beloved son of April Lynn (Folnsbee) Monroe and the late David Leroy Monroe. He grew up with a steady, grounded spirit and a quiet determination that shaped his character throughout his life.
Duane worked as a forklift driver, a job he approached with pride, reliability, and a strong work ethic. He was known for his easygoing nature, his willingness to help others, and the humor he brought to even the most demanding days. His coworkers remember him as someone who made the workplace feel lighter and more connected.
Duane’s greatest joy came from the people he loved. He is survived by his fiancée, Dawn Cochran; his mother, April Lynn Monroe; his sister, Michelle Monroe; and his brother, Ryan Monroe. He also leaves behind numerous other family members who cherished him deeply and will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.
Though his time was far too short, Duane’s legacy lives in the kindness he showed, the relationships he nurtured, and the quiet strength he shared with those around him. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his spirit remains in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
