E. Maxine Kidd's Obituary
Edith Maxine Kidd of Broken Arrow, OK, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed into eternity Saturday April 22, 2017. Maxine, daughter of Rev. Jesse Herman Duke and Julency Elizabeth Price Duke, was born May 20, 1940 in Prague Oklahoma. She was united in marriage in Stroud Oklahoma on November 3, 1961 to Donald Kidd. They were married for 55 years. Maxine’s love of sports was only surpassed by her love of God and family. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, as well as her siblings, nieces and nephews. Maxine retired from Citgo Petroleum as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor after 29 years. She also excelled at bossing the boss at Kidd Machine, their family business. Maxine is survived by her husband Don Kidd of the home; daughters Sandy Mills and son in law Steve of Broken Arrow, Vonda Kidd of Broken Arrow, and Marsha Kidd of Broken Arrow; Granddaughter Kendra Agimudie and husband, Chris of Oklahoma City, Grandson Derek Mills and wife, Lorna of Bury St. Edmonds United Kingdom; and Granddaughter Kayla Mills of Oklahoma City; great grandchildren Lucy and Ben Agimudie; Brothers Bill Duke and wife Ginger of Warwick; J W Duke and wife Eva Jo of Mesa, Arizona; Charles Duke of Depew; Sisters Naomi Perkins and husband Elmer of Beggs, Melba VanOrsdol and husband Mike, of Bristow, and Barbara McGuire and husband Eugene of Depew; plus many nieces and nephews she loved dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Melvin Duke, and sisters Juanita Brown and Carolyn Ward. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 25, 2017 from 5-7 P.M. at Floral Haven Funeral Home Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 27, at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Tulsa. Graveside services at Floral Haven at 2:00 p.m.
