Eddie Ralph Davis' Obituary
Eddie R. Davis
December 5th, 1942 - July 16th, 2023
Eddie worked for Wickersham Electric in Tulsa for several years before relocating to southern Louisiana. He began his career with Brown & Root (KBR) in 1974 in Belle Chase, Louisiana as an electrician on barges. He was then transferred to a subsidiary, Taylor Diving as an Electrical Engineer. Eddie holds multiple patents for his designs of diving bells for deep sea divers. He then transferred to the Brown & Root Engineering and Construction division as an Electrical Superintendent. Thus began his career of being the Master Electrician for the 3rd largest Engineering & Construction company in the world. Eddie held Master Electrician licenses in 48 states within the U.S.
But Eddie's favorite job within KBR was as an instructor. He created a course that he taught on the National Electrical Code (NEC) to individuals within the company from jobsites throughout the U.S. He then would supply his students with the materials to then go out and share that knowledge. He would also go to the local union to teach the NEC to people who were just beginning their electrical careers. Eddie always believed knowledge was power and he was never selfish about sharing his knowledge.
Eddie was a graduate of Central High School in Tulsa, OK and was an active member of Teenation. He was a proud Navy Veteran and served on the USS Huse DE-145. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 512 in Dayton, TX.
Eddie traveled extensively throughout his years. He enjoyed square dancing, RV club, baseball games, golf and devoted his time to serving his community, especially veterans.
