Eddie Lealan Walker's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we mourn the passing of Eddie Lealan Walker, 77, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The youngest of 9 children, Edd’s sun rose on August 7, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX and we watched the sun set on his life with us here on Earth on January 24, 2018. He married his soulmate, Carolyn Fallin, in 1962, then set sail on a 40 year management career with Piccadilly Cafeteria. This took he and Carol on an amazing journey from Wichita Falls to Lake Charles, LA, then to Jacksonville, FL, Corpus Christi, TX, and finally to Broken Arrow, OK.Edd enjoyed golf, cycling, photography, Dr. Phil, John Wayne westerns, and spending time with his family and friends. After his retirement from Piccadilly, Edd was not quite finished working yet. He then enjoyed 12 years in grounds maintenance at Forest Ridge Golf Course, making new friends on and off the course.Edd and Carol were married for 55 wonderful years. Family members left behind to cherish his memories include son, Lealan (Marlene) Walker; daughter, Penny (Jeff) Lastrapes; grandchildren Eddie (Michelle) Walker, Eryn Walker Nickell, Casie Lastrapes, Hannah Lastrapes; great-grandson Liam Walker, sisters Peggy Bowman and Jimmy Baker, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members. The family would like to thank the staff at Clarehouse Tulsa for their compassionate care during Edd’s brief stay. In lieu of flowers, donations to Clarehouse in his honor would be graciously accepted and appreciated.
