Edith Frank Duty's Obituary
Edith passed away on Sunday October 30,2022 at Grace Skilled Nursing in Jenks. Surrounded by her family. Edith was born on March 14,1930 in Collinsville, OK, to Eules Frank Mead and Onia Odell McGill.
She had 3 siblings, Brothers:Roy Mead, Ben Earl Wilson, Sister Janis Dixon Stout
Married Charleton Izard in Mena, Arkansas Feb 4,1947 They had two daughters together Cleta Fay Izard Stout and Linda Darlene Izard Boerger. They lived in Chicago, Ill, then Wichita Kansas.
She worked as a waitress for many years. Edith moved with her daughters to Tulsa in June 1965, to be close to family. She met James Duty in 1968, they married Feb 24,1969. She then started working at PepsiCo bottling plant in West Tulsa until she retired in 1998. She and James enjoyed their time at their cabin at Chicken Creek. She was widowed on April 26,2000, and missed him greatly.
She is survived by daughter Cleta Stout and husband Riley, daughter Linda Boerger and husband Gary. Stepson Dan Duty

Grandchildren: Saundra Smith and husband Lynn, Brian Stout and wife Donna, Sharon Stout, Tracey Sowers and husband Greg, Gary J Boerger and wife Jana, Sherry Volberding and husband Mark,Michelle Gillette and husband Randall, Jamie Rust and Wife Diane, Kris Rust, and Lee Carver.
She had 19 Great Grandchildren, and 7 Great Great Granchildren
The greatest joy in her life was going to family dinners, having her great grand daughters spend the night. Watching the little great great's play. She loved traveling and Pepsi.
She had many loved nieces and nephews to numerous to count.
She was preceded in death by her Dad Frank, Mother Onia,stepdad James, brother Roy Mead and wife Thelma, Sister in law Shirley, brother Ben and wife Kathy. Husband James Duty, Grandson Tommy , great nephew Conner, step daughter Kathy Mobley.
She was loved by many, and is greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. She had an amazing 92 years Rest Easy Mom.
