Edith M. O'Shields-Kiesling's Obituary
Edith M. O’Shields-Kiesling passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma March 15, 2016 with family by her side. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, William T. (Ted) O’Shields; her second husband of 5 years, Elton C. Kiesling; her mother and father, Mollie and John Packwood; sister, Josie Woods and brothers Jack, Sid and Bill Packwood.Edith was born in Braggs, Oklahoma in 1925. She attended school in Okmulgee. She married the love of her life, Ted at age 16. She and Ted Lived in Tulsa for 34 years before moving to Houston, Texas. In 2007 she returned to Tulsa residing at Country Club of Woodland Hill retirement community. There she found love again with Elton Kiesling. They were married for almost 5 years before Elton’s death.She is survived by her daughter Gail Pope and son-in-law Gerald Pope of Tulsa; son William T. O’Shields Jr. and daughter-in-law Nancy O’Shields of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren, Stephanie Collins of Denver; Shelley Hughes of Tulsa; Trey O’Shields and Trent O’Shields of Denver; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; brother-in-law Neal Woods and beloved nephew Neal Woods Jr. and his wife, Janet Woods of Tulsa.During her time living in Tulsa prior to moving to Houston, Edith attended Sequoyah Hills Baptist Church. During her time living in Houston she was a member of Tallowood Baptist Church.Funeral services will be held at Floral Haven Funeral Home Rose Chapel in Broken Arrow, at 11:00 a.m. March 19, with graveside service to follow.Visitation will be Friday evening March 18, 6-8 p.m. at Floral Haven.
