Edith Ann Robinson's Obituary
Edith Ann Robinson, born May 22, 1936, in Arcola, West Virginia, was the cherished daughter of Charles and Goldie Radcliff. She grew up alongside her siblings, Charles, James, and Freda, in the close-knit hills of West Virginia that she always carried in her heart.
At 18, Edith married Clarence Robinson, whom she met while working at a local diner, as he was in town laying pipeline for Williams Brothers. Together, they built a life rooted in love, resilience, and adventure, living in West Virginia, Ohio, Kansas, and Oklahoma. Their marriage spanned 37 years and was blessed with two daughters, Pam and Carolyn.
Edith was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clarence; her infant daughter, Pam; her parents, Charles and Goldie; and her siblings, Charles, James, and Freda.
In her younger years, Edith found joy in creativity. She spent many hours embroidering and making handmade crafts. She loved reading and could often be found working on word search puzzles. Edith found happiness in life’s simple moments. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, watching birds, and listening to music. She had a deep love for travel and cherished every opportunity to explore. Above all, Edith treasured time with her family, sharing a close bond with each one of them. A devoted member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Edith found great peace in her faith and church community.
Edith is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Cheney, and her husband Ed; and her grandchildren: Brandon and Natalie Frost, Kayla and Jason Pickle, Kendra Frost, Kimber Drake, and Kali Cheney. She was a proud great-grandmother to Emma, Theo, Prairie, Sylas, Clover, Ava, Leo, and Lydia, each of whom brought her great joy.
Edith also held a special place in her heart for the Frost family, Debbie Edwards, Micky Hays, and Bill and Claudette Pickle, whose friendships meant so much to her throughout her life.
A beacon of light, Edith made life more beautiful with her sweet smile and contagious laughter. Edith will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her kindness, and for the love she so freely gave to those around her.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the Floral Haven Chapel on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at 10:00 AM. A graveside service will follow at the Floral Haven Memorial Gardens - Veteran's Field of Honor.
