Edith Jane Swanson's Obituary
Edith Jane (Harris) Swanson went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2014. She was the loving wife of Rudolph Carl Swanson, who pre-deceased her on December 20, 2012. Edith Jane was born in Dallas, Texas on August 21, 1930 to Nathan and Evelyn Harris. She was mostly known as a Homemaker and for raising her five children. Over the years, she held several part-time jobs, was active in PTA and volunteered at church. She was a dedicated member of Memorial Baptist Church since 1967.Throughout her life, she enjoyed traveling, playing cards, square dancing, music of her era, local Broadway productions and being the hostess for family events. She is survived by her five children: David (and Kenia) Swanson of Hurst, Texas; Neil (and Nancy) Swanson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Paul (and Ginger) Swanson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Lisa (and Chris) VanLandingham of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and Mark Swanson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her family also includes 13 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.Service is scheduled for 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 12, 2014, Memorial Baptist Church, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
