Edmond Franklin Manion's Obituary
Edmond Franklin Manion, 83, of Broken Arrow, OK, formerly of Commerce, OK, passed from this life on April 8, 2016 at home with his family by his side. Ed was born March 23, 1933 in Weleetka, OK to Walter Manion and Artie Mae (Joiner) Manion.Ed and his family spent many years in California, where he was a very talented landscape contractor. He had a special talent for raising beautiful flowers and gardening. The family moved to Commerce in 1971. Ed was a member of First Baptist Church, Broken Arrow.He was predeceased by his parents and seven siblings. Ed is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marlene, of the home; daughter, LaNell Gardner and husband Richard of Broken Arrow; sons Scott Manion and wife Debbie of Owasso, Keith Manion and wife Rhonda of Miami, and Arthur Manion and wife Julie of Broken Arrow, former daughter in law, Kelly Manion, 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, his loyal canine companion, Tico, and a host of family and friends.A Celebration of Life service will be held at First Baptist Church, Broken Arrow on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Nick Garland officiating.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Seasons Hospice, or a charity of choice.
