Knight, Edna Lavern's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edna Lavern Knight, who peacefully departed this life at home, surrounded by her loving family, on February 24, 2025, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Edna was born on April 1, 1932, in Sulpher City, Arkansas, to Otis and Bessie (Creech) Drain.
On August 10, 1957, Edna married the love of her life, Carl Herbert Knight. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and cherished memories. Lavern, as she was affectionately known, had a passion for gardening, canning, baking, and cooking. Her Chicken and Rice, and Mandarin Orange Cake were family favorites. She was also a devoted student of the Bible, having read it from cover to cover 14 times. Her faith and her family were the cornerstones of her life.
Edna is survived by her children, Kim Christian and Brad Knight; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Knight-Christian, Tyler Christian and his wife Bailey; and her great-grandchildren, Jetter Knight-Christian, Kamdyn Christian, Brayden Christian, and Waylon Christian. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Edna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Carl Herbert Knight, in March of 2003; her parents, Otis and Bessie Drain; her siblings, David Drain, Wayne Drain, Bonnetta Daniels, and Faye Roberts; and her grandson, Chase Christian.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday, March 1st, and the funeral service will take place at 12:30 PM on Monday, March 3rd, both at Floral Haven Funeral Home.
Edna's vibrant spirit and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory be a blessing to her family and friends.
