Edward Benton's Obituary
Edward Cleveland Benton, a resident of Broken Arrow, passed away February 7th, 2018 at the age of 79. He was born November 26, 1938 to Darrel and Hattie Benton, of Sand Springs, OK. He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother Robert Darrel Benton.He is survived by his wife Patricia (Pat) Benton, daughter Jodie Evans and husband Paul, daughter Dianna Hines and husband Joe, son David Benton and fiance Christy Crittenden, Shawn Benton and wife Barbie. Sister Shirley Randle of California, brother Barry Benton and wife Jodi of Jenks, and sister in law Patricia Kay Benton. Eleven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.Eddie graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1957, he did go to college and graduated with a Business degree in accounting and law.He enjoyed serving his church, he served in the Sertoma Club his interest there was speech and hearing. He was leader in his sons Boy Scout group, very active with his daughter Dianna and both boys in the soccer club, playing himself, coaching and refereeing. Helped with his daughters’ softball team. Enjoyed fishing with his family, hunting with his brothers and father, and having his family over for visits. He also had the pleasure of raising his great grandson Jacob Newberry. Eddie will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Celebration of his Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday February 13, 2018, at Cedar Ridge Christian Church in Broken Arrow.
