Edward Bernard Ott's Obituary
Edward B. Ott, known as Ted, passed away Monday, May 30th at home surrounded by loved ones. Ted was born in Beaumont, TX to Anna and Clarence Joseph Ott on September 18th, 1938 and was the last of 6 children. He attended St. Anthony High School and Lamar College both in Beaumont, TX. He was a member of the United States Army Reserve from 1961-1967. Ted moved to Broken Arrow in 1975 with GTE Telephone Company, where he was a Telecommunications Engineer. He was a member of Bicsi, an Information Transport Systems Professional Association, receiving the David K. Blythe/University of Kentucky Award for Outstanding Member of the Year in 1978 and served as President from 1979-1980. Ted is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Ted is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary; daughters, Kim and Michelle; and grand-daughters, Jessica, Nikki, Gracie and Emily. A funeral service will be held Tuesday June 7th at 10:00am at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, OK. Ted will be laid to rest in the Floral Haven cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral Service to be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel.
