Edward “Leon” Breiger Sr. 89, of Broken Arrow, OK, went home to be with the Lord, December 24, 2019, at his home, surrounded by family.Leon was born February 16, 1930 in Tulsa, OK to Gladys Alice Breiger (White) and George Edward Breiger.An Army Veteran, Leon was stationed in Okinawa, Japan during the Korean War. Upon his return home, he went work for The Happy Company, with his Uncle Cecil White and first Cousin / Brother and partner in orneriness, Don White. A few years later, he would go to work for McDonnell-Douglas, retiring in 1984 after nearly 30 years.Growing up, Leon inherited his love for playing music from his mother. Most Saturday nights were filled with family, food and guitar pickin’ & singin’. While there were many artists Leon liked to listen to, his favorites were Bob Wills, Hank Williams Sr. and Merle Haggard. He also loved to spend time “tinkering” in his shop.Above all, he loved his family.Leon is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 59 years, Betty, sister’s Helen Moore and Wanda Tate, cousins Maurice White, Phil White, Don White & Sarah Murphy.Leon is survived by his son Ed Breiger & wife Kaye, daughter Julie Buxton & verbally adopted daughter Helena White.Grand Children, Alexis Hodges Humble, Brandi Turner, Joshua Goforth and Cyara Buckaloo.Great Grand Children, Shelby Turner, Austin Turner, Kiersten Turner, Kailey Turner, Isabelle Goforth, Kyle Goforth, Allysia Goforth and Wiley John HumbleVisitation will be held from 2 pm – 7 pm on Sunday, December 29.Servcies will be at 10 am on Monday, December 30 at Floral Haven.
