Edward Albert Cook's Obituary
Edward Albert Cook (Butch) age 82, resided in Broken Arrow, OK, passed away Monday October 27th 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital.
Ed was born on December 10th 1942, in Flint Michigan to Ed and Edna (Meredith) Cook. He married Annetta Blazier October 10th 1963, and divorced in 1999. Ed married Virginia (Ginny) Copeland on April 26th, 2003. He graduated from Mott Community College in Flint Michigan with an associate degree. Additionally, he graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 2002 with a Pastor’s Degree and he was an ordained minister with World Outreach Church of Tulsa.
Earlier in life, he was a business entrepreneur owning several IHOPs and Precision Tunes. For 12 years, Ed and Ginny completed multiple mission trips in over 20 countries, then for the past 10 years they lived, pastored and oversaw 5 churches in Nicaragua.
Ed was a savvy businessman and an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing. He loved cheering for college football, particularly Alabama and Oklahoma.
Proceeded in death by his Mother, Edna Cook, Father, Edward Cook, and his Aunt Janice (Meredith) Burns.
Ed is survived by his wife, Ginny Cook, sister Paula Martz (Jerry), daughter Lori Cantrell (David), son Butch Cook (Cyntia). Stepchildren Joe Paris, Dave Paris (Heather) and Sarah Mann. Grandchildren Jordan Cantrell, Joshua Cantrell, and Step grandchildren Stephen Paris, Sawyer Paris, Hadley Paris, Yehuda Mann, and Uncle Ronald Burns, nieces, nephews and many cousins.

The Family gives much love and appreciation to Pastors Mark and Janet Brazee, Care Pastors, Mike and Kim Davis, Robert and Rose Martino, the medical staff at Saint Francis Hospital Tulsa (Particularly Dr. Powell and Addy, RN) who went to extraordinary measures caring for Ed and the many friends who have supported us through this difficult time.
