Edward "Ed" Hunt's Obituary
Edward “Ed” Hunt, beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, step grandfather, step great grandfather, brother and friend; born Monday, October 11, 1937 in Fairfax, Oklahoma to his loving parents, Clem & Una Hunt; went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma with his loving family by his side. Edward or better known as “Ed” by his family members and friends; has been a Tulsa resident for many years. He worked for Pepsi Cola as a delivery driver for fifteen years before becoming a driver with Church Hill Truck Lines where he worked as a truck driver for twenty-five years before his retirement. On May 7, 1976 in Miami, Oklahoma, Ed married the love of his life; settling down together in Tulsa where they raised their family. In his free time Ed enjoyed playing golf, playing fast pitch softball, gardening and keeping his and his neighbor’s yards in perfect condition year round, attending First Baptist Church of Broken Arrow where he volunteered his time maintaining the church and even helping to drive the shuttle and bus for the church. What he truly was passionate about were the times he shared with his family and friends that he loved so dearly. Fond memories will always be cherished of Ed as he will be deeply missed by all those that had their lives touched by him. Ed is preceded in death by his loving parents, Clem & Una Hunt; his dearly loved siblings, Dorothy “Dot”, Jo, Tim and Kitty. Ed is survived by his beloved wife of forty years, Billie Lucille Hunt; his loving children, Jim Hunt & wife Amy and Janie Aary & husband Wendell; his dear stepson, Kenny McClain & wife Brenda; his two dearly loved granddaughters, Ashley Aary and Amanda Aary; his two dearly loved step grandsons, Matthew McClain and Dustin McClain; his precious step great grandson, Dax McClain; his five loving siblings, Charlie Hunt, Betty Hubbard, Nick Hunt & wife Judy, Bob Hunt & wife Cathy, Jack Hunt and numerous nieces, nephews, loving family member and friends. A visitation will be held Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at Floral Haven Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Monday, September 25, 2016 at 10:00AM at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens.
