Edward L. "Jack" Routh's Obituary
Edward L. “Jack” Routh, 83, of Tulsa died peacefully in the presence of his family at his daughter Susan’s home on April 2, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Monday, April 7, 2014 at South Tulsa Baptist Church. He was born in Goshen, Arkansas on March 17, 1931, the son of E. L. Routh, Sr. and Mary. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. On June 1, 1974, he married Frances Ann Cleaver in Naperville, Illinois. He had worked as an IT Manager for Amoco during his professional career. Jack enjoyed playing and watching many sports. He loved his family and was affectionately known as “Poppy” by his grandchildren. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Ann Routh, of Tulsa, four children: Brad Routh (Carol) of Phoenix, AZ, Darcia Routh of North Little Rock, AR, Jeff Cleaver (Betsy) of Tyler, TX, and Susan Schooley (Bob) of Tulsa; eight grandchildren: Cori Veatch (Jeremy), Jim Routh (Brandy), Joshua Routh (Kristin), Sarah Cleaver, Joseph Cleaver, Ryan Schooley (Allison), Jake Schooley, and Rachel Schooley; five great-grandchildren: Sam, Jack, Levi, Finn and Felicity; and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Sharon, and two sisters Betty and Almeda. The family wishes to thank the staff at Autumn Leaves for their loving care during the last three years. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in his name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Grace Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 33234, Tulsa, OK 74153.
