Edward Eugene Scott's Obituary
Edward Eugene Scott passed peacefully at home on August 21st, 2018. Ed was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 9th, 1939, the son of Lewis “Red” and Dorothy Dean Scott.Edward attended Tulsa public schools and was a 1958 graduate of Will Rogers High School. Ed served in the United States Air Force Reserves for six years, and law enforcement for more than 45 years. He started his law enforcement career as a deputy on the Tulsa County mounted Patrol, he was a police officer for the city of Owasso and Collinsville, and eventually became chief of police of Collinsville. Ed continue to serve in law enforcement as an undersheriff of Rogers County, and as a officer and Collinsville until he retired.Ed was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Gwendolyn Jackson and brother-in-law, Jerry Jackson.Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Louis Christine Scott; two son, Ronald Dean Scott and wife, Betsy and Louis Edward Scott and wife, Teresa; three grandchildren, Justin Colt Scott, Brittany Scott and Chelsea Scott; three great grandchildren, Camryn Scott, Zoey Scott and Jerren Scott and aunt, Suzanne Miller.Viewing will be held Sunday, August 26th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and family will greet friends that afternoon from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Floral Haven Funeral Home.Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, Garden of Sermon on the Mount.Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Air Force, American Legion Post 56 and the Patriot Guard Riders.
