LONG, Edwin L. (Eddie), passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2008. Eddie was born January 26, 1923, in Chicago, IL to Opal Long and was raised on the Whitlock farm in Dix, Illinois. He retired from Jet Oil Company, Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1983, was a member of Cedar Ridge Christian Church and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He was loved and will be remembered by his wife of 58 years, Dorris; his sons, Douglas and wife Paula of Granbury, Texas and David and wife Teri of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; grandsons, Zack, Jacob and Joey; granddaughter, Kelly Freedman and her husband Robert of Coppell, Texas; great-grand children, Noah, Zoe and Mia; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Service will be Saturday, December 27th, 10 a.m., at Cedar Ridge Christian Church, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cedar Ridge Christian Church.
