Effie Marie Callahan, age 75, a retired clerk and seamstress, passed from this life on December 9, 2011. She was born on July 27, 1936 in Newton County, Missouri to Orvil and May (Roberts) Harding. Effie married Melvin E. Callahan on March 12, 1954 in Seneca, Missouri. She is survived by her spouse, Melvin of the home; children, Stanley Callahan and his wife Joyce, Gay Polovich and her husband Jim; grandchildren, Cary Callahan and his wife Melissa, Jarrod Callahan and his wife Julie, Abagail “Abby” Callahan, Diana Brandt, Daniel Polovich, Amy Polovich; great grandchildren, Aaron Callahan, Katelyn Callahan , Gabe Callahan, Nicole Callahan, Sierra Brandt, Connor Brandt, Colton Brandt; step grandchildren, Jamie Turk, Jason Riggs; step great grandchildren, LeAnn Turk, Spencer Turk, Emily Turk, Nicholas Turk; sister, Fannie Griffith and her husband Bob. Effie was preceded in death by her parents, Orvil and May Harding; 5 brothers and sisters. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2011, 10:00 AM in the Floral Haven Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions may be made to Clarehouse, 7617 S.
