Elaine Barbara Jones' Obituary
Elaine Barbara (Lynch) Jones went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 17, 2012. She was born in Atwood, KS on October 2, 1953 to Archie Kenneth Lynch and Marjorie Marie (Loker) Lynch. Elaine graduated in 1972 from Dodge City High School. Later that year, she moved to Broken Arrow with her family. Elaine had a passion for helping others, especially the elderly. She would begin her life long work in the nursing field at The Village Health Care Center in Broken Arrow. She took time off from work to raise her two young children before attending Tulsa Vocation Technical School in the late 80’s where she earned her Certified Nursing Assistant and her Certified Medication Assistant certificates. She would then start her nursing career at Franciscan Villa in Broken Arrow. While working at Franciscan Villa, she attended Tulsa Technology Center where she would obtain her License Practical Nursing degree on December 16, 2004. She would continue working there until 2008 when she began working at Cedar Crest Nursing facility in Broken Arrow.She was a devout Christian who loved her faith and her church. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Coweta. While there, she took a journey of a lifetime and went on a Walk to Emmaus where her faith grew even further.She is preceded in death by her parents Archie and Marjie Lynch and a grandson, Gabriel (Gabe) Owen Darragh.She is survived by her son, Jason Jones and wife Jaime of Coweta, OK; daughter Crystal Darragh and husband Ray of Broken Arrow, OK. Three grandsons, Brian Jones, Dustin Jones, and Austin Jones and one granddaughter, Cayla Jones. Brother David Lynch and wife Marcia of Broken Arrow, OK; sister Christine Stahlinski and husband Gary of Woburn, MA and her twin sister Evelyn Bertrand and husband Chuck of Cape Girardeau, MO. She is also survived by her poodle Cricket who she would affectionately call her “little guy”. She is also survived by 5 nephews, 2 nieces, and an aunt.
