She enjoyed watching movies, country music, visiting with friends and family, cooking, sewing, bingo, baseball, and visiting casinos. She often attended her children and grandchildren’s baseball practices and games. During one game on the baseball field at Webster High School, she caught a foul ball with her bare hand from the bleachers. After she moved to O’Fallon, she entered her chili in the O’Fallon Senior Apartment’s annual chili cook off and won first prize.
