Eli Christopher Harris' Obituary
Eli Christopher of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was born on June 18, 2013. He left his earthly body to be in the arms of Jesus on August 14, 2024.
Eli was a prideful, Sapulpa Chieftain eager to start the 2024-25 school year. He was even more proud that he was a 6th grader. He told his Momma it was because he was going to have so many more books to read because the library is much bigger in middle school. Finding his niche, in running cross-country, he “wow’d” us all with his speed and endurance.
In his short time on earth, Eli touched the hearts of so many. He was known for having a servant heart & enjoyed reading his Bible. He often passionately shared his “Fun Facts”, provided trivia, statistics, or history on various topics, critiquing or narrating movies and told only the best of the worst “Dad” jokes!
There will be difficult days ahead for all of us, but for his parents, who knew to always account for three because when you seen one, you would soon see all three. For Eli’s siblings, in Abbie’s words, “Eli was the brother I always wanted and prayed for.” Then there was the brotherly love shared between the two brothers. Isaac was always so proud to introduce Eli as his BIG brother and best friend. Isaac knew his brother loved him wholeheartedly and said Eli was even willing to give him all of his cars! Eli would often lead the family in prayer whether it was before a meal, celebration or special occasion. During this time when dad, mom, brother, and sister try to overcome their unexpected loss, Eli would ask that we let prayer take the lead, lean on one another, pray for each other and simply be happy.
His loving hugs and caring heart will be missed by all that we’re blessed to know him.
He was preceded in death by his Great Grandfather, Ralph G. Wofford & Grandfather, Michael Guiney, both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his parents, James and Jacquie Guiney, sister Abigail Rose and brother Isaac Garland, Of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Great Grandmother, Mary Wofford Of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Grandparents, Starla and Chris McNeill, of Tulsa Oklahoma, Uncles, Aunts & Cousins; Randall, Elisa, Owen & Ashton of Sperry, Oklahoma, Justin, Kaylee & Dawson Horne of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Jacob, Ashley & Bryson Guiney, along with a host of many other special family members and friends.
A little “Eli Trivia”: What is the last word in the Bible? Answer: “Amen”.
Thank you, Eli, for giving us the most awesome 11 years, 1 month & 27 days with you!
