Elias "Al" Dias Alcaraz's Obituary
Elias “Al” Dias Alcaraz, born Saturday, July 20, 1929 to his loving parents, Crecenio Alcaraz & Norberta Diaz in Chicago, Illinois; went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 25, 2016 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with his loving family by his side. Elias or better known as “Al” to his family and friends has been a long time resident of Broken Arrow with his beloved wife. Al served his country honorable and proudly in the United States Army; after his duty to his country he became a successful electrical engineer for many years and worked for a couple of different petroleum companies, such as Chevron where he worked for over twenty-five years and later Petrol Oil. His position took him all over the world and while he was in Argentina a friend introduced him to the love of his life. After an eight year engagement they became husband and wife on Thursday, September 16, 1993 in Houston, Texas. After his retirement Al enjoyed many things in his free time such as love of nature; which was seen in his vegetable garden and his fruit trees. What Al was truly passionate about were the times he shared with his family and friends that he loved so dearly. Fond memories will always be cherished of Al and his love of animals and taking care of them, his love of cooking and how he believed he was the best cook, how he loved to talk and share stories, his patriotism and his pride in his country and especially his unwavering belief in God. He will be deeply missed by all those that had their lives touched by him. Al is preceded in death by his loving parents, Crecencio Alcaraz & Norberta Diaz; his two precious daughters, Elena Alcaraz and Alicia Alcaraz. Al is survived by his beloved wife of twenty-three years, Maria Ines Alcaraz; his loving children, John Alcaraz & Renee Anderson, Debra Herland & husband Ken Herland, Robert Alcaraz, Ramona Chandler & husband Glen Sutfin; his dearly loved grandchildren, Nolan Alcaraz, Melissa Herland & Rafa Fujii, Jessica Herland, Nicole Francis & husband Lukah Francis; his four precious great grandchildren, Kaylee Rathkoy, Alex Francis, Abel Fujii and Aria Fujii; his loving brother & sister-in-law, Vincenzo & Marita Zega; his loving nieces & nephews, Gianni & Veronica Zega, Maria de los Angeles & husband Domenico and his children Francesco, Gabriele and Michele Cocci, Pablo & wife Maria Lucia Zega; his devoted spiritual families, Robert & BJ Penick, Edgar & Blanca Roman and numerous other loving family members and friends.
