Elijah Gay's Obituary
Elijah Gay was raptured to his heavenly home on Saturday, October 26, 2013. Elijah was born December 27, 1921 in Hamilton, OH. Elijah spent his life working for various aircraft companies including Spartan Aircraft and Great Western Airlines, retiring from Custom Airmotive where he received one of the first Charles Taylor “Master Mechanic” Award’s for working for a period of 50 years in an aviation maintenance career. Elijah is survived by two daughters, Sharon Gay and Wanda McCray of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Chelsey Gay of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Jamie Bales and Chuck Bales of Bakersfield, Missouri and Gary and wife Marianella Bales of Owasso, Oklahoma; four great grandsons, Charles Bales and Joe Bales of Owasso, Oklahoma and Tyler Bales of Bakersfield, Missouri and Shane Bales of Tulsa, OK. Preceding Elijah in death are his wife, Shirley; parents, W.L. Gay and Elizabeth (Gray) Laughery; one brother and four sisters.
