Smith, Elith Jane's Obituary
Elith "Jane" Smith, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully at age 81 on May 14, 2026 at home.
Born on January 21, 1945 in Cameron, Oklahoma, Jane was the daughter of Noel and Francis Babb. She grew up in southeastern Oklahoma and earned her Bachelor's Degree in History. She married Harold Smith on February 2, 1980 in Tulsa, OK. She later pursued her teaching license in Florida.
Jane was a devoted wife for 46 years and woman of God, spending time reading the bible and listening to Joyce Meyer. She loved orange cats and always saved room for desert. She is survived by her husband Harold Smith of Tulsa, daughter Elizabeth Smith of New Hampshire, two sisters Yvonne Miller and Robbie Paquette of Sapulpa, several nieces, nephews and other family members. Jane was preceded in death by her parents Noel and Francis Babb, her brother Ian Douglass Babb, and her beloved sister LaNeal Crawford.
She will be remembered for her caring heart, commitment to helping others and her love of Jesus Christ. Jane will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
